Musical Muse is a blog that revolves around the many artists who drop gems into our lives to absorb and love. My name is Amanda, I’m a 19 year old college student from New York and music is one of my greatest passions. Whether it’s pop, rock, indie acoustic, hip-hop, or Broadway hits, you can always find me having some sort of jam session. Many listeners nowadays can be found tuning into Top 40 radio stations, the Billboard Top Charts or any other source of mainstream music, but there is so much more than a great beat drop to dance to or the occasional “fangirl” who listens for the pure reason of, “OMG, he is so CUTE!” There are only few who will take the time to search and discover artists who are not in the spotlight; the artists who have great talent but are underrated. This is what I want to share with my readers – the other side of music that exists but is rarely looked into. My blog will provide a mix of both mainstream and avant garde music for readers – personal favorites and opinions of the artists, song reviews, and plenty of recommendations for new, underrated artists.
